Nautical Training - Other Awards
Two awards are available for Scout Groups:
1. RNZN Recognition, and
2. The Richard Upton Memorial Seamanship Pennant
Both these awards require a high level of Group management.
The RNZN Recognition assessment is a performance appraisal of all aspects of Group management which includes:
Adult leader training,
Group management,
Programme delivery and youth awards,
Seamanship and nautical participation, and
Section participation in activities.
The Richard Upton Memorial Seamanship Pennant was developed in the Auckland Area following the 24th National Scout Regatta held in 1997 at Takapuna, North Shore.
